Making it four, Penny Mart to open another new location in Hagerstown next week
A fourth Penny Mart convenience store in Hagerstown is set to open March 1, according to an email from the Frederick-based company.
The store at 245 N. Potomac St. will be similar to other Penny Mart stores in the city.
The store's location north of downtown Hagerstown is idea because there are no other convenience stores in the area, according to the email. With the new location, Penny Mart will have a shop in the north, south, east and west sides of Hagerstown. That's in addition to stores in Martinsburg, W.Va., and Frederick.

Like the other locations, the new Penny Mart will be an "all in one stop shop" that will have subs, pizza, burgers and wings, among the other usual convenience store fair.
The shop is almost 1,500 square feet and will have 15 to 20 shelves, a 15-door cooler, and a full-service menu all day. The store will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The store will be hiring eight employees with a mix of full- and part-time positions, according to the email.
